FRESHWATER Independent Lifeboat (FILB) was launched alongside Coastguard Rescue teams this afternoon (Sunday) after paddle boarders became stuck.
The group, which included three teenagers and a seven-year-old child, had paddled into Watcombe Bay near Freshwater but could not get out again.
The Freshwater Inshore lifeboat and the Yarmouth all weather lifeboat were launched and the Needles and Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Teams were sent to assist.
The group of seven people were subsequently recovered to the top of the cliffs by the two coastguard teams.
