An electrical fire in the kitchen of Colwell Bay's The Hut led to a call to Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue today (Sunday).
It means the restaurant has had to temporarily close, however it told the County Press that everyone on scene was OK and it hopes to reopen later in the week.
Crews from Freshwater, Newport and Ventnor were called to the incident.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus and jets and specialist kit to vent the property of smoke and fumes.
