This week, Isle of Wight Council contractor Island Roads collected rubbish from the car park.
But it seems that was only the tip of the iceberg, with plastic boxes, garden waste and a mattress still clearly visible on Thursday, in photos taken by Islander Lisa Davis.
Spotting the County Press's original story, another Islander said he reported similar items there six months ago - fearing it could actually have been at the chine since August.

The Isle of Wight Council has confirmed that Island Roads picked up rubbish from the car park, but said other rubbish would need to be collected by waste contractor Amey.
In September 2018, a commercial fridge was dumped on the beach and Isle of Wight car recovery Stag Lane Motors stepped in to retrieve and dispose of it.
The County Press is awaiting a new statement from County Hall and has asked for a comment from the two Isle of Wight Councillors who represent the surrounding areas, including Council Leader Dave Stewart.
