THE Isle of Wight's rolling average for Covid cases per 100,000 people is continuing to drop.
There were ten daily coronavirus cases reported today (Thursday), but the rolling data, while five days behind, is still heading in the right direction.
The rate of new cases has fallen significantly since January's peak, with just three yesterday (Wednesday) and two the day before.
Today's total brings the tally of confirmed Covid-19 cases on the Island, since the start of the pandemic, to 6,632.
The Island's seven day rolling average is now well below the rate for the rest of the country.
There were 43 per 100,000 in the seven days to February 20. The UK rate is also falling, and is at 115.3.
The total number of Isle of Wight Covid deaths currently stands at 261, with 140 in hospital, 110 in care homes, eight in private homes, one in a hospice and two elsewhere.
