OLDER Islanders are starting to be booked in for their second Covid vaccine.
The over 80s are among those receiving letters to make their appointments.
One County Press reader has been booked in at Shanklin Medical Centre. He said: "I am 80 so I had my first jab before Christmas and was given an appointment for January, which then got cancelled.
"I have been waiting to find out when I would get my next injection, so I was pleased to get booked in, for March 11."
Nationally, while more than 18 million people have had their first dose, only 669,105 people have had their second.
The second doses should be within 12 weeks of the first.
