A FURTHER Covid-related death was confirmed at St Mary's Hospital over the weekend.
According to new data published by NHS England, there has been one more death at the hospital.
The first Island hospital death in around a week was recorded on February 19, and came seven days after the previous one on February 12.
These are cases of people recorded as having died after testing positive for Covid-19.
It brings the total amount of Covid patient deaths at the Isle of Wight hospital to 139 since the start of the pandemic.
A total of 17 hospital deaths have been recorded on the Island in February, compared to 66 in January.
The total number of Isle of Wight Covid deaths now stands at 253, with 104 in care homes, seven in private homes, one in a hospice and two elsewhere.
