THERE has been a small rise in Covid cases today — with six people recorded as having had a positive test.
It takes the Island's cumulative figure since the pandemic began, to 6,614. February has seen 396 cases so far.
The daily data continues a promising trend for the Isle of Wight in recent days.
The latest data released by Public Health England also reveals the rolling rate, although five days behind, is now 56.4 per 100,000 of population for the Island — well below the UK average of 124.
It puts the Isle of Wight in among the areas with the lowest number of cases per 100,000 of population.
It comes just a day before Prime Minister Boris Johnson is set to announce a 'road map' out of lockdown, expected tomorrow.
