THE number of people in hospital with Covid-19 has fallen this week.
On Tuesday, February 2, there were 80 Covid patients in St Mary's, with eight of them on mechanically ventilated beds.
A week later, on Tuesday, February 9, there were 48 people being treated with Covid, and four on MV beds.
This is according to the latest available government data, which does have a lag of a few days.
Since February 1, a total of 39 people have been admitted to St Mary's with Covid.
Since the start of the pandemic, the hospital has had 650 Covid patients, of which 132 have died.
