FURTHER Covid-related deaths have been confirmed at St Mary's Hospital today (Friday).
According to new data published by NHS England, there have been three more deaths at the Isle of Wight hospital.
All the deaths were officially recorded on Wednesday, February 3.
These are cases of people recorded as having died after testing positive for Covid-19.
It brings the total amount of Covid patient deaths at the Isle of Wight hospital to 128 since the start of the pandemic.
There have also been several recent deaths in Isle of Wight care homes.
It was revealed 22 people in Island care homes died in the week running up to January 22.
The total number of Isle of Wight Covid deaths now stands at 211, with 78 in care homes, four in private homes, and one in a hospice.
The latest data available, showing the number of Covid patients in St Mary's, revealed there were 80 patients, and eight of those were on ventilators.
