SINCE the start of the pandemic, 614 Covid patients have been treated at St Mary's Hospital.
The total had reached 563 on January 25, meaning there have been a further 51 patients treated between then and January 31, which is when the latest government data runs to.
As of Tuesday, February 2, there were 80 patients currently in the hospital, with eight of them on mechanically ventilated beds.
Of the 614 Covid patients who have had treatment in St Mary's, 125 have died in hospital, and 80 were still being treated there (as of Tuesday).
It means approximately 409 people have been to St Mary's as a Covid patient and have subsequently been discharged.
Just days ago, Isle of Wight NHS Trust chief executive Maggie Oldham said the hospital was "still in the eye of the storm" and under considerable strain, despite the Island's Covid rate falling.
The Stay Home message was reiterated. This week, government data showed 30 people had died in Island care homes during January, up to January 22.
