As a visitor to the IW for over 40 years, it disappoints me to see so much has been lost.
The latest loss is Browns golf course. I hear the council has plans to turn it into a theme park but I question where they would get the funding.
More importantly, Browns is an historic Second World War site and has bought a lot of enjoyment for me and my family over the years.
Income comes from a lot of mature people especially out of season
Over the years we have lost a lot, such as Sandown Pier being ruined.
It won’t stop me visiting but someone needs to look again.
