Two more people have died on the Isle of Wight, after testing positive for Covid-19.
Their deaths have been reported by care homes - which means 50 Islanders have died in care homes here since the pandemic began.
The deaths were between January 1 and 8, but but were registered up to January 16.
In separately reported data, six hospital deaths were announced yesterday (Monday) by the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.
A further death was announced today, which means 89 Islanders have now died in hospital, after a positive coronavirus test, 33 of which have been announced in January.
In the community, 4 Islanders have died at home, or in a hospice.
It brings the Island's cumulative death toll to 143.
The average rate of positive cases is going down, according to the government's interactive map, though our rate per 100,000 people remains above average for the country.
We are warned that the continued impact of Covid-19 will continue to be felt at St Mary's Hospital in Newport, over the 'coming weeks and days'.
The Island's Director of Public Health and the NHS Trust's Medical Director have urged us to follow the #HandsFaceSpace and ventilate advice.
