A replacement launch service is being brought in for the Isle of Wight Floating Bridge this morning (Tuesday).
It follows an issue with one of the rams.
The chain ferry has been suspended for the fourth time in a month.
East Cowes town councillor Cameron Palin has posted on social media saying 'a weld has blown', causing oil to spill.
A temporary launch service will continue until repairs are carried out, says County Hall.

The Floating Bridge has been out of service three times in the last month - this is the fourth.
The chain ferry on Tuesday morning
It went off at the end of December and then again, just days later, for a corresponding part on the other side of the chain ferry to be fixed.
It also went off a day before a repair was scheduled.
