A BRIGHTON based philanthropist, who recently relocated from his Isle of Wight roots, is putting his raw flesh to the test to raise funds for Newport's Mountbatten.
In 2019, Matt Hannah completed a 67-mile walk around the circumference of the Island without shoes in aid of car crash victim Becky Wall's rehabilitation.

This year his soles, limbs and joints will brave a 100-mile trek along the footpaths and bridleways of South Downs Way to raise money for independent charity Mountbatten, which provides end of life care and bereavement support to anyone living on the Island.
He has set a target of raising £2,000 before undertaking the ambitious venture later this year.
Matt said: "I have set myself a new challenge for 2021 - in May I will be attempting to walk the entire 100-mile stretch of the South Downs Way which runs from Winchester all the way to Eastbourne.
"All money raised will go directly to Mountbatten, which provides excellent care to hundreds of people in need across the whole the Isle of Wight.
"I'm expecting to take on between 9 and 14 days of walking, and will camp at various points along the trail to rest my weary limbs overnight. I'm very pleased to be doing this on behalf of such an amazing charity."
Matt is raising money through his GoFundMe page. Those wishing to donate and receives updates of his plans and progress can do so by visiting the page online.
