SEVEN more Covid patients have died at St Mary's Hospital.
Data has been updated today to show one death on January 11, five on January 12 and one on January 13.
It takes January's death toll to 26 — making it the worst month for Covid deaths during the pandemic, even though we are not yet halfway through the month.
The total deaths in St Mary's Hospital is now 82. There were 52 other Covid related deaths, such as in people's homes and care homes. The total Covid deaths on the Island is now 134.
There have been 4,572 confirmed coronavirus cases on the Island altogether, with an update expected later today by Public Health England.
The news of further deaths comes at a time when St Mary's is busier than ever.
As cases soared this month, the Isle of Wight NHS Trust's medical director Stephen Parker said military helicopters could be used to transport patients to the mainland.
At the moment, patients are being cared for on the Island.
