Luke Lewis from Gunville had a peacock feather-design ring custom-made by Newport jeweller Adrienne Wroath for his partner, Colleen.
He said: “We are expecting a child in February. This year has been the best year of my life with Colleen and I wanted her to wake up on Christmas morning as my fiancee. Just before Christmas, I proposed.
"The proposal started when she woke up. I had covered the bathroom mirror in pictures of us with a message saying I love you. Then when Colleen got to work, she received a video message from me. On the video it tells her to look under her car seat where she will find a book I had made for her detailing all the reasons I love her.
“On the video message I then ask her to meet me by our table in the forest when she finishes work, where I’ll be getting down on one knee and asking her to be my wife. When she got to our table in the forest, it was pitch black, but I had covered the trees in lights and lit bamboo torches.”
The moment when Luke proposed is in our main picture above and his poignant video message can be seen here:
Shane Breaker from Cowes proposed to Stephanie Murray on Christmas Day.
He said: “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her, but we are holding off setting a date until the Covid restrictions are gone.”

Karl Dibbens from Ryde asked partner Nicola Mitchell to marry him in front of the Christmas tree.
He said: “I gave her a Christmas card and on the back I wrote: ‘Read me out loud’ and when Nicola opened the card, it said: ‘To my wife Nicola’.
“She started to read the card and I had put a sticky note with ‘Lift me’ on it, so then she lifted it and I had written ‘Will you marry me?’ — then I got on one knee and she said yes and made me the happiest man going!”
