The Isle of Wight has started the new year with another record rise of Covid cases.
In the biggest total ever recorded, 175 cases have been today added to the Island's cumulative total, taking it to 1,854 since the pandemic began.
The previous highest daily rate was 101 cases, on December 30.
The Isle of Wight's infection rate per 100,000 is now 244.1.
