One more person has died in the Isle of Wight's only hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 — the second in a week.
The death was registered on November 25, statistics from NHS England show.
Another Covid death was also recorded at the Isle of Wight NHS trust on November 17.
The new figure takes the total number of hospital deaths to 48.
In total on the Island, 97 people have now died from a Covid-related condition, with 45 in care homes, 3 at home and 1 in the hospice.
So far in November, five deaths have been recorded at St Mary's Hospital, in Newport, where a patient tested positive for Covid-19.
There have been more Covid-related deaths in November in hospital than in September and October combined — three people died in October and there was one in September.
As the Island heads into Tier One at the end of the lockdown next week, the seven-day case rate on the Island has been falling.
