The first new Island Line train - due in service in the spring - has safely arrived on the Isle of Wight.

It travelled by lorry and ferry to get here yesterday. It hits the tracks early in the new year, after a long closure for improvement work on the line.
It is all part of a multi-million pounds modernisation programme.
