Oh yes we will! That was the very determined message from Spotlight IW and Shanklin Theatre as they announced plans to perform pantomime this Christmas, against the odds.

Spotlight, the resident theatre group at Shanklin, will perform Rapunzel to a socially distanced audience.

Vic Farrow, of Shanklin Theatre, said: "We wanted to provide some live entertainment during this time when there is so little of it about, and provide a lift during the Christmas period."

Spotight said: "We have been searching for a little happiness in 2020 and we think we have found the answer. We are so excited to be sharing this news. It's not Christmas without a pantomime, oh no it isn't!"

The show will open on December 19 and will run until January 3.

All tickets are £16.50, apart from a relaxed performance which will be priced at £12.

Tickets will be on sale from Friday, November 6.
