The Isle of Wight's troubled floating bridge is due back in service this week, but there is still no news on when.
Late last week, the Isle of Wight County Press asked for an update.
We are still awaiting a statement, although we were told inspection work was taking place on Thursday.
In a recent letter from the Isle of Wight Council's Chief Executive, to East Cowes Town Council, it was revealed the chain ferry would be returning to service imminently.
John Metcalfe wrote: "I am advised that the vessel is expected to be back in service in the week commencing 28 of September."

A foot passenger launch has been running since July, with a second added to peak time crossings at the start of September, when children returned to school.
