THE Cowes to East Cowes floating bridge is to be out of service longer than anticipated.
Last week, it was announced continuing works to the floating bridge were expected to go on at least until Tuesday, August 4.
In an update posted today (Monday), the Isle of Wight Council Floating Bridge will now definitely be out of service tomorrow, as further investigations take place.
The launch service for foot passengers will continue to operate from 5am to 11pm (6.30am to 11pm Sundays).
The floating bridge has now been has now been out of action for 21 days.
A Tweet from the Isle of Wight Council said: "The team are working to get the vessel up and running. As soon as we have more news we will post an update here."
