BEDS from the now-closed Camp Hill prison are being used in the fight against coronavirus.
HMP Isle of Wight tweeted a photo of the former prison's metal bed frames, which it says have been used by the army to help the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.
The army has been creating extra capacity at St Mary's Hospital.
The category C Camp Hill prison closed in 2013, when the Island's other sites formed HMP Isle of Wight.
