ONCE again, thousands of people from across the Isle of Wight responded to the call tonight (Thursday) — clapping and cheering for the NHS on their doorsteps, or from their windows, or in their gardens.
For the fourth consecutive week, Island residents got behind the Clap for our Carers campaign — providing a much-needed moral boost to participants and recipients alike.
The campaign is a means for communities to unite at a time of social distancing measures, and show support for as many as 1.3 million Britons working for the NHS.
Here's a collection of photos and videos showing some of the many who left the comfort of their homes and took the time to applaud healthcare heroes up and down the country, taking the fight to coronavirus.
