THE Floating Bridge will be out of service between 1.30pm and 4.30pm on Thursday afternoon, with no replacement launch, according to East Cowes councillor Karl Love.
He says he has been told by the Isle of Wight Council that a 'guide wheel' needs to be replaced 'before any potential tightening of restrictions'.
Cllr Love says it means the Cowes - East Cowes chain ferry will be suspended and a replacement foot passenger launch service will not be in place.
