AN UPDATE from the Isle of Wight Met Service has forecast possible snow later today (Tuesday) with temperatures set to drop this evening.

The service said Islanders should expect rain, sleet and hail with a small chance of snow.

A report from the IW Met Service said: "It is looking increasingly likely that we will see showers of hail, sleet and a little snow.

"Showers turning thundery and wintry later today, broken cloud and sun tomorrow.

"Tonight will see a mixture of clear and cloudier spells with the odd scattered wintry shower of sleet or snow, but becoming mostly clear later in the night."
