A DEAD dolphin washed up on the Island's most southernmost beach has been inspected by a coastguard team.
Ventnor Coastguard Rescue Team was tasked to Watershoot Bay, near Niton, at 4.15pm today.
The team found the dolphin and took details about the mammal, to refer to the operations team.
Watershoot Bay is one of the smallest and remotest bays of the Isle of Wight, with a rocky shoreline of around 500ft.
