BEMBRIDGE RNLI will hold its annual open day on August 17, from 11am to 4.30pm.
Visitors to the Bembridge lifeboat station will have the opportunity to meet crew members, and find out about how lifeboats operate and respond to emergency situations.
Visitors can also find out about RNLI's campaigns, Sea Safety and Respect the Water, while learning how to check their own lifejackets.
During the afternoon, visitors can watch the launch of all-weather lifeboat, Alfred Albert Williams, for a simulated rescue demonstration — subject to operational availability on the day.
The event is free, but donations can be made, with all monies raised going directly towards supporting the lifeboats.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, served by members of the Bembridge Lifeboat Guild.
