FIREFIGHTERS were called to Newport this morning (Thursday) following a burst water main.
At around 7am, a single fire engine from Newport and a salvage tender from East Cowes were called to the scene.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service said: "The water main has been isolated by Southern Water.
"The Newport appliance will remain on the scene for a further 30 minutes because of the water run off."
The 450mm water pipe burst outside PE Composites, at Dodner Industrial Estate, and more than 130,000 litres of water is estimated to have been lost.
Firefighters have been working to limit flooding to adjacent buildings.

"This bursts extends under an area covered with shipping containers so it will take time to make the site safe for work.
"Fixing the pipe may take some time, but we are sending tankers of water to inject into the system below the burst to speed the restoration of supplies."
