A CHARITY that provides therapy though contact with horses has been given a financial boost by a local care home.
Vecta House, Newport, presented Bodster Equine Assisted Learning Centre with a cheque for £1,000.
The care home welcomed Jo and Giles Boddington and Naomi Harris, from Bodster Equine, to a coffee morning.
Residents also had a visit by Tippy the New Forest pony.
Giles and Naomi, directors of Bodster CIC, thanked Barchester Healthcare for the grant.
Nichola Shepherd, general manager at Vecta House, said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities. Bodster Equine received a grant towards the continuation of the work it is doing with people with mental health issues and depression through its ponies and mindfulness techniques.”
