A LOCAL charity has partnered with community churches to ensure those with dementia can experience a relaxing Easter service this April.
AgeUK Isle of Wight will host informal services for those with dementia, their carers, family and friends.
The welcoming services will be shorter and specifically designed with the needs of people living with dementia in mind, although everyone is welcome.
Each service offers accessible service booklets, traditional hymns and prayers, short readings and an address with time to socialise and meet other visitors.
The services are available on Monday, April 1 at 11am at Newport Congregational Church, Pyle Street and on Thursday, April 18 at 2.30pm at St John the Baptist Church on High Park Road.
Those who would like to find out more should contact Laurie Mabbett from Age UK Isle of Wight on 525282 or e-mail laurie.mabbett@ageukiw.org.uk.
