Harcourt Sands, main entrance..
FIRE broke out at the derelict Harcourt Sands Holiday Park in Ryde last night (Thursday).
Two crews of firefighters from Ryde were called out at 8.35pm to reports of a small fire in the derelict ballroom.
Having extinguished the blaze, firefighters carried out a search of the premises before returning to station.
The former Harcourt Sands Holiday Park, next to Puckpool Park, near Ryde, has lain derelict since it closed its doors in 2006.
The site suffered a major fire in 2007.
