BARCLAYS bank in Shanklin will close later this year.
Customers have received a letter saying the High Street branch will close on November 17, due to falling customer numbers.
They have been advised their nearest branch is in Ryde.
Customer Don Vincent, 80, said: "It's sad the way things are going. The number of staff has reduced quite a lot already, there's a line of computer consoles instead.
"I'll be fine, but it will cause problems for people older people who don't often travel into Newport."
Personal banking customers will be able to do some banking at the Post Office, according to a poster displayed at the bank.
