PETTIT Anthony "Tony" Passed away peacefully on 10th October in Kings College Hospital after a short illness. He leaves us with many fond memories and will be missed by family and friends. A family funeral will be held in Dulwich.

Tony and I grew up together in the West Wight and shared many interests and values through school and the countryside. Later he and his lovely wife Mary helped me compile my books about Newtown and Porchfield giving generously of their time, local knowledge and enthusiasm. In more ways than one Tony can truly be described as the salt of the earth. He will be missed.
