Queen Antony "Tony" Tony a beloved husband, father, and respected public servant, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2024, on the Isle of Wight at the age of 85. Born in Alnwick, Northumberland, Tony spent his early years in the Northeast of England before embarking on a fulfilling life with his family on the Isle of Wight. He began his journey on the Island in 1974 as an Environmental Health Officer for South Wight Borough Council and ultimately retired as the Chief Environmental Health Officer in 1993. Beyond his professional life, Tony was a man of diverse interests. A keen tennis player, he was a long-standing member of Ryde Lawn Tennis Club. In his retirement, he also enjoyed playing golf and indulged in his love for music, particularly the piano, which he played with great pleasure. Tony is survived by his devoted wife Yvonne, their sons Gary and Robin, daughter Susan and four grandchildren.
