Streeter Eric James Island master thatcher, Eric Streeter passed away on June 8th 2024 after a long illness surrounded by his wife Pat, daughter Elaine, Son-in-law Stuart and grandsons Richard and Alex. He was a well known thatcher on the island for over 35 years, working on many cottages and public houses. He was also a popular member of the IOW motorcycle club and enjoyed scrambling in his younger days and trial riding later. His funeral will take place at St. Swithin's Church, Thorley on July 2nd at 12noon. There will be parking available in the field behind the village which will be signposted. Eric will be missed by all his family and friends.
