EDWIN JAMES COLE

COLE (Edwin James) Died peacefully at St Mary's Hospital 15/5/23, aged 83. Fondly remembered by sister Margaret, brother David and Alison, Steve, Caroline, Steve, Andrew, Vicky and their families. And not forgetting nephew Ian, also sadly passed, who was such an important part of Edwin's life. Thank you to Colwell Ward and Broadhurst Residential Home, who cared for Edwin in his final days, also to his friends and neighbours for their help over the years. The funeral will be held at Chale Church on Tuesday 6th June 2023 at 2pm, followed by a celebration of Edwin's life at the Wight Mouse Inn. No flowers please, but donations, if desired, to Myeloma UK (c/o Geoff Leather Funeral Directors). Edwin was a long time survivor of this blood cancer.

I knew Edwin, Ian and 'Nan' Cole well, and really liked them all. Edwin was a great vegetable gardener, a stalwart of Chale show, and a warm, witty man. I am sad to learn of his passing. A real part of Chale.
