I will remember Wynne’s lovely and jolly voice, his optimism even when caring for Betty. His thanks when I sent him a programme from St Helens or a picture from Everton (let’s face it, we need some prayers at the moment). Happy memories of painting with Betty in the garden, and him asking me since I was a child, ‘Are you out of the bookshop, yet!”. He also sent my dad some stats when the Lottery started: back to his maths, I guess.
