TOOGOOD Eveline Winnifred "Eve' Very peacefully passed away at Solent Grange Nursing Home on Saturday 8" April. aged 89 years. Finally reunited with her beloved husband Peter both late of Rowborough Corner Cottage, Brading. A much loved Mum to Janis and Robert and an adored Nan to her Grandchildren and Great grandchildren. Goodnight mum, you were our leading light, best friend and will remain forever in our hearts. Eve was an energetic lady and loved her community. She was known firstly as a hairdresser but also as a local volunteer contributing much to Brading and St Helens life through the church with flower festivals. Guide leader, RNLI fund raising, the Trefoil Guild and organiser of the Wight Hope knitting circle for St Marys premature baby unit and overseas aid, she also served Newport HM Prisons as Volunteer in the Visitors Centre for many years. Mum loved collecting for her jumble sales and hosted many coffee mornings and afternoon teas in her treasured garden raising money for them all. A wonderful, kind and generous lady, sadly missed, always remembered by family and friends.
