CLOUGH Barbara Passed away peacefully at St Mary's Hospital on Tuesday 4th April 2023 aged 90 years. Loving mother to Alison, Fiona and Michael (deceased) and devoted grandma to her eight grandchildren. Recently delighted to become a great grandma. Originally an infant school teacher, Barbara later became a senior lecturer in Education in Chorley, Lancashire. She moved to the Isle of Wight in 1986 with her husband Peter, who sadly died two years later. She loved living in Bembridge and was very active in many local community groups, notably in the organisation of the annual Bembridge in Bloom competition, as a local school governor and a member of the Parish Council. Her hard work and dedication was recognised three times in the last 9 years with a Bembridge Community Champion Award. She was renowned for her energy, enthusiasm and her beautiful smile. She made a difference to Bembridge. Barbara will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Service of Thanksgiving to take place on Friday 28th April 2023 at 2.30pm, at Holy Trinity Church, Bembridge.
