ALLEN Raymond The complexity of Ray's writing was largely based around simple things that could go wrong as if it often did with Frank Spencer. It wasn't unreal or too fantastic, neither did he need to resort to some of the language that so often shows itself off as modern observational humour so common nowadays. Ray always saw the good side of the Human condition. He did not suffer fools gladly, but inwardly looked for the good in everyone he knew. He would never be forced into an unpleasant situation or conversation with a less tolerant person. To some, he may have seemed old fashioned, but it suited his hail fellow, well met attitude to all who knew him well. Tom Kennedy.
