A COUPLE whose first date was at The Boathouse pub, Putney, London, Kyle Smart and Hannah Rickman, were married at Northwood House.
The bridegroom, a video editor, is the son of Mr and Mrs Colin Smart, of Chalton, Bedfordshire.
The bride, an assistant headteacher at a primary school, is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Roger Rickman, of St Mary’s Road, Cowes.
The bride wore a floor-length lace dress, with short lace sleeves and a jewelled belt, and a floor length veil. She carried a natural-style bouquet of blue thistles, delphiniums, lisianthus and roses.
She was attended by Bryony Richardson (bridegroom’s sister), Kate Fisher and Emma Lawson, who wore sage green chiffon dresses and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
The page boy was Bobbi Richardson, two, (bridegroom’s nephew), who wore blue linen shorts, a sailing-boat print shirt, braces and bow tie.
The best men were Martin Pratt and Kris Nicholls and the ushers were Joe Rickman (bride’s brother) and Chris Richardson (bridegroom’s brother in law).
Deputy superintendent registrar Melanie Henretty and deputy registrar Sally Ash officiated.
Following a reception at Northwood House, the couple, who live in Kingston-upon-Thames, enjoyed a short break in the New Forest.
They will honeymoon in Sri Lanka next year.
