A COUPLE who met through friends seven years ago, Jennifer Tomsett and Peter Whittington, were married at the New Holmwood Hotel, Cowes, on July 22.
The bridegroom, a painter and decorator, is the son of of Jim and Sally Whittington, of Gunville Road, Newport. The bride, an assistant at Jennifer Cafe, is the daughter of Barry and Janet Tomsett, of Broadwood Lane, Gunville.
The bride wore a Grecian-style gown, with sweetheart neckline and silver beading, a long train and a tiara.
She carried a bouquet of peonies and fuchsia pink and cream roses.
She was attended by Lisa Tomsett (bride’s sister), who wore a fuchsia pink dress and carried a hand-tied bouquet of peonies and other flowers.
Other attendants were Alicia Tomsett (bride’s niece) and Esme Skilen, who wore floral pink and cream dresses and carried a basket with cream rose petals.
Lee Insley was best man and Scott Insley was usher.
Finley Tomsett (bride’s nephew), pageboy, wore a blue suit and carried a cream satin ring cushion.
A reception was held at the New Holmwood Hotel, followed by a honeymoon cruise visiting France, Spain and Guernsey.
