In what was the first year the team had come together to compete in the league, they went the entire campaign with only one loss.

The girls travelled away week in, week out, and, against the odds, "blew the Hampshire League away", said new chairman, Dan Verstraeten, by finishing joint top with Gosport Borough Girls' Academy.

The team's manager, Sally Parkman, said: "It’s a wonderful achievement to see these girls fight every week and give their all to be successful. I’m ready proud of them."
Dan echoed Sally's sentiments.

"This is what the club and academy is all about — giving the girls the freedom to play and progress through our ranks," said Dan.

"This is why we built the stepping stones, so they develop into a winning team. Next year they will be even better.

"The Hampshire League gives them all hope of making it as a pro footballer. They all have dreams and I want to help fulfil them."
