THREE Isle of Wight teenagers from the Bay area arrested on suspicion of drugs and driving offences, have been bailed pending further inquiries. 

Police stopped an Audi A4 in Merstone on the evening of October 1, amid concerns over the speed and manner of it being driven.

"Following a search of the vehicle, three people were arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle dangerously, failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, possessing a controlled drug of class B and drug driving," a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said.

The males arrested were a 19-year-old from Shanklin, a 17-year-old from Sandown and a 16-year-old boy from Shanklin.

All three have been bailed while investigations continue.
