Three days of events took place at Seaview Village Regatta.

The regatta, which ran from August 13 to August 15, was enjoyed by hundreds of spectators and competitors.

Events included sailing, tug of war, beach sports, swimming, diving, greasy pole, rowing and paddle boarding.

The Olympic Laser class was dominated by the children of Regatta President Josh Bottomley, with Senan, Clodagh and Nate Bottomley all finishing in the top five.

Josh Bottomley also won the big keelboat open handicap ‘Otter Cup’ sailing race, with his boat crewed by family members.

First place in the ‘Lugger Race’ went to Barnaby Edwards from The Garlic Farm.

In diving, James Bannister won both the overall and the over-40 challenge, winning over his son in the former category.

Oli Waltham and Senan Bottomley reached the final Number 10 spot sliding along the Greasy Pole, with Oli winning overall across two attempts.

The men’s paddleboard podium was a family affair with Will Blacker taking first place, followed by Chippy Blacker and Freddie Blacker.

The final ‘Rescue Race’ with male competitors rowing out to ‘rescue’ their swimming female team member was by father-daughter combo of Rob de Lazlo and Poppy de Lazlo.

The Regatta also commemorated the ‘voice of the regatta’, Richard Bowtell who, alongside Jeremy Spencer-Copper, retires from his commentator role for the rowing events after 50 years.
