A MAN from the Isle of Wight accused of owning a dog that bit and injured someone in a Hampshire town, has been arrested.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary received a report a man in his 30s was bitten by a dog, which caused him minor injuries, at an address in Stonechat Close, Petersfield, sometime between 10.30am and 11.30am on Thursday (August 8).
Officers attended and also found several bags of suspected cocaine at the address.
A 24-year-old man from Ventnor was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being a person in charge of a dog dangerously out of control, causing injury, and possession of drugs, with intent to supply.
The suspect has been released on conditional police bail, pending further investigations, until Friday, November 8.
