Police searching for missing Isle of Wight man Alan Souter have discovered a body this morning (Friday, April 12).
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary announced the news today.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but his family have been informed, officers said.
A file will be prepared for the coroner.
A missing person appeal was launched yesterday (Thursday).
The 62-year-old from Freshwater was last seen at about 4.15pm on Monday at The Needles.
He was seen on the Southern Vectis Number 7 bus on Monday and CCTV photos were released, to help the search.
