Two vehicles — a grey Hyundai people carrier and a blue Ford Focus car — collided at traffic lights at the top end of the dual carriageway in Newport this morning (Monday).

The people carrier driver was unharmed and a driver and passenger in the Ford Focus, walked away from the wreck without injury.
The incident happened just after 8.35am, near the Isle of Wight College.
Due to a police road closure, which blocked the dual carriageway into Newport, traffic was snarled up on the route into Newport from Cowes, with police estimating tailbacks at one stage as far north as Northwood.
Traffic has since returned to its normal flow after the dual carriageway reopened at around 10am.
Firefighters attended for scene safety and paramedics attended.
Police officers cleared debris from the collision and both vehicles were recovered just before 10am.
Both vehicles were described as 'write offs'.
