WHEN you are out and about around the Isle of Wight this coming week, be sure to know which roadworks to avoid.
SHALFLEET: Church Lane will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Main Road and Withyfields, between 8am on Tuesday and 4pm on Thursday, December 7. The one-way system along Church Lane will be revoked along its entire length. An alternative route will be signposted.
BRIGHSTONE: Coastguard Lane will close during utility works, along its entire length, from 8am on Thursday, until 4pm on Thursday, December 7. There is no alternative route.
HAVENSTREET: Main Road will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Church Road and Combley Road, from 8am on Monday until 4pm on Friday, December 8. An alternative route will be signposted.
NITON: Newport Road will close utility works, between its junctions with Kingates Lane and Laceys Lane, from 7am on Monday and 7pm on Friday, December 15. An alternative route will be signposted.
FRESHWATER: Norton Green will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Pixley Hill and Aldermore Terrace, between 8am on Monday and 4pm on Monday, December 4. An alternative route will be signposted.
Also, High Street, between its junctions with Avenue Road and School Green Road, will be closed, and Avenue Road, along its entire length, with its one-way restriction lifted to allow access to premises and businesses, will close to allow utility works to be done between 7pm and 6.30am daily, between Tuesday and Wednesday. Alternative routes will be signposted.
TOTLAND: Summers Lane will close during utility works, along its entire length, between 8am on Thursday and 6pm on Wednesday, December 6. An alternative route will be signposted.
Also, York Road, Hurst Hill and Hamborough Lane will shut during utility works, along their entire lengths, while Weston Road, will shut for utility works, between its junctions with Hurst Hill and St Saviours Road, between 7pm and 6.30am daily, between Tuesday and Wednesday. Alternative route will be signposted.
BEMBRIDGE: Swains Road will shut during utility works, between its junctions with Nightingale Close and Swains Lane, from 8am on Monday until 5pm on Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
CHILLERTON: Main Road will close during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Berry Shute and Brook Lane, on Monday. An alternative route will be signposted.
NEWCHURCH: Alverstone Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Skinners Lane and Borthwood Lane, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
Also, Borthwood Lane will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
ALVERSTONE: Main Road will shut during carriageway repair works, between its junctions with Kern Lane and Lower Road, over one shift sometime between Monday and Wednesday. An alternative route will be signposted.
BRADING: Marshcombe Shute will close during bridge works, along its entire length, in one shift sometime between Wednesday and Thursday. An alternative route will be signposted.
WROXALL: Middle Barn Lane will shut during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, in one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, December 1. There is no alternative route.
SEAVIEW: Fairy Road will close during carriageway repair works, along its entire length, in one shift sometime between Wednesday and Friday, December 1. An alternative route will be signposted.
